GEE at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg
14 Apr, 2016
The Aircraft Interiors Expo is one of the largest and most important tradeshows in the IFE&C calendar. The show boasts 149 unique airlines representatives, 500+ exhibitors from 26 different countries and over 9,000 attendees. This year it dazzled with a larger number of attendees, including airlines and exhibitors from around the world. GEE welcomed close to 100 airlines, partners and reporters at our booth in the IFE Zone.
On Monday April 4th we were excited to attend the Aircraft Interiors Passenger Experience (PEX) Conferences – a full day of presentations and panel discussions focused on the passenger experience. The PEX conference is a great opportunity to educate attendees through insightful presentations, panel discussions and debates from a variety of airlines and vendors.
GEE leaders Alexis Steinman, SVP of Digital Media Solutions and Duncan Abell, VP of Creative Services presented Trends in Digital Media and discussed the latest developments and future capabilities in inflight entertainment.
Nestled in the IFE Zone, for which we were the Silver Sponsor, the GEE booth highlighted the Company’s four key business groups: Connectivity Systems, Digital Media Solutions, Content Services and Operations Solutions. Featured products on display included GEE’s Airconnect Global antenna, Entice streaming service, Airtime Content-to-Go, Airtime Lounge, and Airgames.
On Day Two (Tuesday April 5th), GEE enjoyed a very busy day of meetings with customers and partners, followed by a customer partner happy hour held in our booth.
On Day Three (Wednesday, April 6) GEE made two major announcements: The unveiling of Entice - A Groundbreaking Entertainment Platform to Stream Inflight Movies and Content. And Airconnect Global™ Ka-Band High-Speed Antenna. GEE’s VP of Strategic Partnerships, Patrick Prefontaine also presented at the AIX Flightglobal Forecast Sessions discussing “The future of in-flight entertainment, can passengers entertain themselves?”
The newsworthy day was followed by a customer appreciation event at Henriks Restaurant in Hamburg. The upscale restaurant and bar provided a first-class and welcoming atmosphere for attendees who mingled, chatted and laughed off the day’s meetings and stress. With a turn out of about 150 guests in total, the event was a successful end to yet another busy day in Hamburg.
On Day Four (Thursday, April 7th), meetings continued to run through to the end of what was a successful AIX 2016 tradeshow.
Thank you to all our customers, partners and friends in the IFE&C market for visiting us, sharing a coffee and an after-hours chat. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
